I never want to say Mudlark is a “children’s” theater, because it really isn’t.  Sure, children are in the shows, but usually when you think of “children’s theater” you think of a bunch of little kids stumbling around a stage, not a group of talented kids performing Poe and Twelfth Night in incredible costumes, sets and locations. Years from now when I look back at my Mudlark experience, I will remember the magic of standing backstage in the dark, waiting to go on, and I will remember being scared to go on in my very first show, but then after, counting the minutes until I would get to go on again! Being involved in Mudlark has played a big part in making me braver and less nervous and shy. Before, I was TERRIFIED of having to be social with people I didn’t know, but that’s how you make friends. Because of Mudlark  I feel like I am a more confident person now and I have made so many friends I wouldn’t have been able to meet otherwise, Mudlark is special to me because I have met some of best friends here!
