Though I joined Mudlark quite recently, this does not discount the effect it has had on me. When I joined in seventh grade, I was certainly reluctant to audition. I had done theater before, but nothing like Mudlark. (My previous theatre experiences were quite the fright!) So, when my mom suggested trying out for Mudlark, I obviously was hesitant. Within 5 minutes of my first audition, however, I fell in love with Mudlark. It was quirky, it was light, and it was enjoyable. After I got into my first show, I knew Mudlark was the right place for me. Even though seventh grade was a tough year for me, I always had Mudlark to go to and forget school's stress. I loved it. I loved the directors, I loved how they included everyone in the cast, and I loved how supportive they were. I loved the cast and how they were helpful to each other. Most of all, I love that I could come to Mudlark and be myself. It's what I call, the "Mudlak Effect." The magical effect Mudlark has on people is truly amazing.
