I’ve uttered the phrase, “It’s because I’m a Mudlark kid,” too many times to count. Why do I know this person? How have I heard of that play? Mudlark has expanded and enriched my life in so many different ways. I still remember the excitement of rehearsals, the grueling hours of tech week, but most importantly, the friendships I made and lessons I learned. Even though I don’t act in plays anymore, I still can’t leave. Last summer I was a co-counselor at one of the summer camps, and plan on doing that again this summer. I’m still such a different person because of my experiences there. Being able to put yourself out there, and channel all that energy, I can truly say is all because of Mudlark. All proceeds will be donated to Mudlark's MILK JUG FUND ensuring quality performing arts education and opportunities are available to all children.
